Nice Up!

Conceived and promoted by resident DJ Shepdog, NICE UP! has been throwing some of the funkiest parties to hit London in recent times. Starting life at 93 Feet East in 2003, it has now found it's home at The End (playing host to Kraak en Smaak, Boca 45, Diesler, Dr Rubberfunk and more) and continues to book the finest in crowd rocking DJs from around the globe. Whilst everyone and his dog are chasing their tales of the most current or 'happening' musical movement, the NICE UP! music ethic is simple - "righteous party vibes".

Dj DRM

Brooklyns DJ DRM (aka Aaron Schultz) has traveled the world over DJing his own brand of eclectic party rockers, jazzy beats, disco floor shakers, classic dancehall, midtempo beats, downtempo and dubbed out broken sounds.

As co-founder and label manager of Brooklyns Bastard Jazz Recordings, Aaron has been the driving force behind a DJ's label thats become known for its tasteful, dancefloor style that consistently straddles the line between down and up-tempo beats, but yet remains eclectic, drawing heavily from the tide pools of dub, jazz, hip-hop, and latin music. As 2009 looms heavy, Bastard Jazz remains a viable force record shops world-wide, and a mainstay in the crate of thousands of DJs worldwide.

Hong Kong Ping Pong presents Nice Up!
Posted by jim on July 29th, 2009

“The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club has been churning up quite a storm over the last year or so “down that way” (i.e Falmouth) with their funk-ridden lineups.

Anyone catching Morphosis & Fat Harry spinning at Glade will know that they are the kind of big time party track riding pimps who can easily give the likes of A-Skillz a run for their money, a fact that is egged on by the fact that Morphosis was recently crowned LittleSouth DJ of the Year.

Anyway, to cut a long story in the bud – the HKPP crew are inviting down NICE UP! and DRM to play at their next little belter, so if you are in the area, or fancy a night out at one of the best partys (and venues) down South, then this is highly recommended.
